As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Point Comfort, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment within a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to support a secure setting. You will utilize your communication skills to deliver exceptional customer service while working closely with team members. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and/or identification of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity through regular monitoring at access points.
• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while adhering to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to maintain oversight of the chemical and/or petrochemical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
