\n\nTravel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Current Maine nursing license or compact state license required
\n• BSN preferred
\n• BLS certification required and ACLS certification preferred
\n• Required immunizations: varicella 2 doses or titer, HepB 3 doses or titer or declination, MMR 2 doses or titer, Tdap, PPD 2 step or titer within past 12 months
\n• Flu shot required during flu season
\n• Report to Human Resources on day 1 for onboarding process
\n• Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments for all age groups
\n• Develop and implement patient care plans based on needs and physician orders
\n• Administer medications using the five rights through med verify system
\n• Document patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
\n• Complete discharge assessments and planning with patient/family education
\n• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding
\n• Maintain safe physical environment and ensure supplies and equipment are available
\n• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness planning
\n• Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, and moving patients in wheelchairs and stretchers
\n• Exposure to infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, and cleaning chemicals possible
\n• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within 12 weeks
