Patient Care Tech Intern - Surgical Inpatient
Full Time - Day Shift - 36 hours
The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Surgical Progressive Care Unit (Zayed 11 West) is a 32-bed surgical unit caring for adolescent and adult patients. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and 9 intermediate care beds (IMC). The unit cares for patients recovering from a variety of surgeries, some of which include but are not limited to thoracic, urology, plastics/reconstructive, vascular, orthopedic, GI/Colorectal, gynecologic oncology surgeries. The unit also cares for patients recovering from traumatic injuries from events like falls, motor vehicle collisions, and victims of violence.
The Patient Care Tech Intern works under the supervision of a nurse and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.00/hour - Maximum 18.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
